  1. has any1 got numbers for 40foot loads of cord or hardwood in northern ireland or ireland but northern ireland would be best with the price of euro?? all numbers would be great thanks

  3. hi ben.i just cut and split and bag them and just stack them into a couple of houses on the farm in the winter so when it comes the summer it gets the heat in the house and i leave the door open so its getting the drying wind..im lucky i live on a farm with plenty of wee stables till stack them into.
  4. well im on the dole que and jobs over here are like gold dust..id rather make my own money than make it for some other man..dont wana be noisey but are you buying bulk loads or cutting all down what your selling??
  5. hi garry youl not get anything there any time soon lad was on the fone till them 2 weeks ago and they had nothic worth talking about..the hard wood is a we bit more expensive than the soft stuf i think about a fiver more a ton.. better looking at it than looking for it!!!

  7. so andy you think if you harvest it and all,you may do?how do you go about getting in till forests and do you have till buy timber of the forestry??see i was think on cutting gardens in the summer getting a living at that then winter comes bang out the logs..would that be a good or bad idea?

  10. yea i think i will just keep it on hold till a get a couple of loyal costomers build up and get word of mouth..was in the local filling station there 2nite and was saying till them about it they sounded interested..they sell on average 2000 bags a year so happy days!! thanks again ben for the help and all yous other readers 2!!
  11. thanks ben for the help just trying till put a few figures around just to see if a wood processer would make me money..at the moment im just using i chainsaw and logspliter.
  12. thanks for all your replies on my question.what would be the normal size of log?about 9 inces in length??you can probly tell in all new till all this.what woul be the normal price you can charge for a net??
  13. hi im all new till this whole thing.just looking till ask a few questions.. im going till be using conifer my the 40foot load or 25ton. 3m long and between 70 and 400mm thick.how many cube would i stand till get from a load?id be using nets 40x50 how many nets would i get from a cube? thanks
