if you put any flyers out to houses, just make sure they got a chimney:thumbup:
& as for green wood,i personally think that alot of green wood will be sold this year as supply & demand is higher,if its green or got more moisture content than it really should, just be honest & truthfull with your costumers, honesty will get you repeat sales..

-

you could always offer your time free of charge on a weekend to gain experience
maybe a couple of saturdays a months might just help you on your way

hi
i looking for a starter recoil complete, fly wheel & air filter cover for an old stihl 045av,might be intersted in complete saw if engines shot etc i only need the parts above so a good saw is no use to me
thanks
-
thats a good price for the recoil, think you will struggle to find the plastic m8,i'd try & find that first before you spend on it,might be worth trying to buy a complete saw thats dead
-
couldnt agree more, chainsaws are probably the most dangerous tool you will ever use & people do take them for granted, thanks for the information saved me some pennys
-
i take there no good then:lol:
we all know its down to the saw operator too,i was just looking at these chains & thought if they were any good then i would try one.anything that can help towards safety is a plus, isnt it?
-
has anyone tryed the low kick back chains,i have some old saws no chain brake etc, which i do like to run & cut now & again.would these chains be of use to me ??
any feedback would be great.

i think you are overpaid
only joking just put up with it m8 for your training, you got to think how much your going to earn the guy,i'd just bite the bullet & think of the rewards when you pass, its not as if you are going to work for this guy fulltime
& think in the future you might be the one training guys would you pay top bucks to someone on work experience?
dont want to sound harsh but we've all been there, just make sure you do well all the best:thumbup:

anyone ever been caught by these fakes,we,ve all seen the vans pull up when at work trying to sell you cheap makita tools etc
i remember about 10yrs ago we were working on a building site & THE VAN:lol: pulled up,state of the art flat screen tv's,looked great showed us one & only wanted 150 quid bargain well so 2 lads thought
quote:give us ten minutes m8 & we will run up the bank for the cash
thats what they done paid the guy got there tv's new in the box 150 quid, well by dinner time the one lad couldnt wait to open the box to have another look at his bargain,oh it was a bargain alright it was an old wooden tv in a new box, same for the other 300 quid for two 40 yr old tv's all i can say is im glad that i was skint that week,or i would have fell for it too
not nice
but these guys have some nerve,he must of wet himself driving off with my 2 m8s thanking him
we live to learn i suppose & the old saying if its to good to be true it is,still stands
-
yes m8 there in uk,a firm i was working for before christmas had pictures of a guy in a new shogun selling chainsaw police said it was irish travellers
-
i been looking for a new pot & piston for a couple of years for me sandvik:confused1:
-
i have the same trouble with my 050 robbo pain in the butt the idle screw damn things will blow out if your not carefull
-
i always thought malteser's melt in you mouth
not on you head
-
whats the 1% doing as an old stihl when hot & stalls can be very hard to start (3-4 pulls is pretty good on restart),adjust the idle screw a tad it must be warm to do this, the idle screw is the brass one on the side of the carb turn it in very slightly it will alter idle speed to stop engine stalling .try this & if no joy let me know
good luck
-
any luck getting your saw going ?
-
hi tree fella
the high is one turn
low is one & 1/4
that is the book setting might have to fine turn it abit, some say just one turn each & work from there just strip & clean check diapham etc if been stood.
hope this helps

hi treedave
you can get more power out of some husqvarnas, look at the air filter housing is it larger than the carb i:e it restricts airflow, you can file out etc there is also a mod you can do on the exhaust,i will try & see if i can find the details, but i suspect as the 357xp is a high revving engine any mods will just shorten the life of engine..
