  1. Ta for the replys guys... only other thing is,, is that im totally stacked out with work and i wont be able to get on it till next week, or even the week after next!! Hmmm, think i will nip out there and see if and how the buds are swelling. Any ideas when she might bust her buds? I cant remember for the life of me when willows come into leaf... Im in Leicester by the way.
  2. Hi all, i quoted a job at the beginning of winter for a 30% reduction of a large-ish willow tree. The customer has only just got back to me accepting the price. I feel that it is too late into the sap rising to go ahead with the reduction this season. Would it bleed if to be cut now? Is it best to leave it until the next dormant period in winter or do it in late spring/summer? Your thoughts and opinions please. Tom.

  4. Not sure if this has been posted allready? Thought it would be of interest to you guys. Cambridge News | Latest News From In & Around Cambridge City | Latest Sports, Jobs & Business News in Cambridge Newspaper - Football club fears fine over tree felling
  5. I would leave it untill it is fully in leaf. Likely that the sap will pxssing out the wounds like a tap, dripping certainly. Wouldnt look too good for the customer or general public to witness.
  6. Hi, was wondering what the maximum size bar this saw would take. Have allways ran 20" over the years and coped with that, but occationally tackle trees justifying a longer bar. I know getting a bigger saw is the best route to take, but cant really go out spending £800 on a new saw at the moment to have it sitting in the shed not earning much money. Will take that plunge one day, but untill then shall i just stick with what ive got or get a larger bar for the occational large fell? Your opinions welcomed, Tom.
