I'm on the lookout for a tw190 dead or alive for a project. I basically only need the flywheel housing back but I would consider a tired machine, or one with a blown engine, knackered chassis, etc.
There must be one looking sorry for itself in the corner of a yard somewhere!
I have tried a few places and tried on Facebook with no luck.
I might also consider any other 8 inch + modern chipper.

We run it on a valtra that has a utch on the pto yes when I used 1 on a mog it too had a air clutch which ment the shafts could turn freely when disengaged, the overrun just gives the transmission some protection from the flywheel mass should you drop the rpm quickly, I got 1 not too expensive from local tractor dealers when I built the quick chip which isn't too big and just slipped onto the input splines on the gearbox.

Is that a Pto reverse gearbox mounted on the frame? If so, where did you get it? -
Anyone got a Protech P10 post knocker for sale?
Or even for hire if fairly local to South East Wales?

I no longer receive notifications from the app. It is turned on on the the app and my phone settings

Same here on a Samsung s6 -
How did you have the lowering rope configured through it?
Could it have possibly been the wrong way around so the weight of the timber was pulling the top of the safebloc down?

I wouldn't touch a truckman.... Its only 2 years old and it's awful. Poor quality, leaks, everything breaks, and the fibreglass is cracking all over it.

Get yourselves a bottle if this! Got bitten loads yesterday in the woods as I forgot it!
Applied it today and didn't get bothered once!
And you get soft skin! 😉😂

I keep toying with building a horizontal billet splitter to tow around with my 2.5t digger. With the grab on the digger, I could lift any sized log onto the splitter and split it with remote control, then drop the split billets into a bundler.

The lack of big arb suppliers was a big disappointment this year. For me, and a lot of others too, honey brothers and frjones are the main reasons for coming to the show. Especially since the stihl distance selling rules came in, these suppliers can't post any new machines. I was ready to spend a lot of money on new saws and kit but I came away this year with a flip line!
I personally think the aa should be enticing these big suppliers to the show because you will pull bigger numbers in.
If it's the same next year, I won't be coming (along with a lot of other people!)

I've got type 1 down in my yard and no matter how gently you turn a tracked machine, it tears it up terrible! Driving on it is fine, and even turning twin wheel trailers is OK.

Had a glass sliding window go *shatter* this morning.
I'm gonna replace it with Perspex.... is there a type of plastic I should use for that? Or is Perspex, perspex? Is some Perspex more scratch resistant than other types of Perspex?
Is some Perspex UV protected? Does some cheapie Perspex turn yellow with age?
I know very little about Perspex, cutting it, etc... so any advice is appreciated!
cheers, Steve
You could get some laminated glass cut at a glass shop. I had a piece cut for a machine which was an awkward shape with radius corners and all edges rounded for £30... Approx size 500 mm X 600mm. Just gave them a ply template.

And it seems they're in Somerset too.
Saw these posters when I drove through Taunton a while back. I thought it was a joke until I Googled it! 😠

I know it's a bit of a "how longs a a bit of string" question but roughly how many 45x65 kindling nets do you get out of an artic of softwood?
We sell a few thousand bags to customers but always get asked by our wholesale customers to supply kindling too. I've always bought it in but the cheap supply has dried up.
We were getting around 3000 nets to an artic load.

You could always make the landrover a flat bed and load a tracked chipper on it. My 3500kgs 110 tipper has a payload of 1300kgs so without the weight of the tipping gear and high sides, you could carry a forst tr6 at 1300kgs and tow a tipping trailer.

Thanks for the replies.
With a digger it looks a lot of weight high up on them and if things did start to get squirmy (with a blowout or poor loading), I fear it's only going to end badly.
Maybe a tri-axle is the way forward and not this 16ft twin axle I've been offered.

Does anyone use a lm166 (16ft dropside) for transporting a 2.5t digger?
I've got a gd106 with fold down ramp which is nice and low and easy use but it's a one trick pony and it's f'ing wide!
I've been offered a 16ft ifor which would be a much better all-rounder as I could get the chipper and grinder on it and it would get used a lot more for general use.

im wanting to convert my trailer to a tipper however I've no idea how you work out where to mount the ram is there some maths as to where to put it also what is the best type of ram to use and what sort of size stroke do you think i will need thanks mitch

'The stove hut' in Langstone has fitted stoves for a few of my friends on my recommendation. Very well priced and does a great job.

Sorry, only just saw your reply. My stretch airs are type c's and the engelbert Strauss trousers are MUCH lighter and cooler. There's little zips behind the knees which I leave open for ventilation.
-
The single phase posch is slower than the 3ph/pto machine. I could keep up with mine on my own if it was loose filling nets but couldn't keep up making neat stacked nets.
It was a cracking machine.

How stretchy are they? Hows the fit on them?
The material isn't stretchy (like my stretch airs) but is lightweight and very durable. They come in short, regular and long which is what swung it for me. I'm 34W 34L in jeans and the 34L trousers fit perfect. I'm going to order another pair soon

I'll be trying that! I've got a few pieces of etched glass in the garage from when I've changed them over the years. It needs doing again so this could save me £70.
I also read that prolonged over heating can cause the glass to be etched. Sometimes I've come in and the wife has it running flat out like a raging inferno... so she's had the blame!
