You defend anything that is said about VOSA, and I give examples of experiences I have had with them, it's hardly going of on one.
And it is done mostly because I know you will come along with things like "statue law and European wide" your experience of them is on the M62 I have dealt with up and down the country.
Yes there not all bad and yes to a point we need them, but in my eyes there just another means to shaft the working man.

Does,nt suprise me, the country is in a complete mess, all they do is make things harder for us working hard for a living.

I went to Craddock's last week and they recommended Cooper ST Maxx for mixed use. £550 + vat for a set of four.
If I was going to spend that money I would buy bf mud terrains, had some put on my defender 130 when it was new in 2004, just over 82k on the clock and theres still plenty of meat on them.

It will look much better when it gets a few scrapes and knocks on it, lol!

I completly agree with their policy, its just a pain in my situation as Im not yet a "Pro user", I would like some of their products such as some PPE to do my training ( I already have a Stihl saw that I bought from Cornwall Farmers) so its abit of a catch 22 situation for me! Its ok though, aparrently they have a satalite agent in Redruth so I can get the stuff from him face to face.
Make it a bit easier on yourself and buy another brand other than stihl from FR Jones, some good sip protection at the right money.
-
I think its crazy that they do it with the PPE, Its understandable with the chainsaws but not with the protective clothing.
-
Im after teams of 3 climbers for railwork around Coventry and Brum for next 10 weeks (could lead to full time position) PTS training given but would prefer trained operatives PM for further details
Is it sub-contractors you require?
Cheers Steve

A friend of mine bought his PPE from FR Jones when he was training, he did,nt have to provide any certs to buy PPE.

Like the shape and design, but the colour is a bit to loud.

We are all human beings, Axe murderers, psycopaths, mad dictators, bankers, child molestors, the full spectrum are all human.
However the individuals or groups behavouir dictates how they are regarded by the greater community.
I would very reasonably believe that the so called "travellers" appear to regard themselves as above the law, whilst preying on mostly decent, mostly law abiding, mostly tax paying citizens, preferably the older & more vunerable the better, and yes I could name two older people in the local Community so preyed apon.
And yes, I am aware there are dodgy locals as well.
I do appreciate that there will be some decent ones among them , but unfortunately the general "traveller" image is well deserved, and yes, they are not wanted in their "homeland" either, one wonders why?
PS
I witnessed 3 of them (=travellers) abuse a waitress in a motorway burger place in the middle of the afternoon, then by climbing over tables to be disruptive as possible, left without paying.
I have never witnessed such behaviour from any other group.
I,ve got to say I fully agree.

I knew something was'nt right, the company I work for sub to fountains and we,ve been laid off this week, did,nt realise that things were this bad.

BFG mud terrains. The best grip and last forever.
I agree

Why's that then?
Word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertising, even though the customer requested it, its not a very good advert for future business.

I would have refused to do it mate.

I agree

The certs do not have an expiry date on them, so how can they be "out of date"?????
It is true that the HSE "recommend" refresher training, but that does not mean retaking previous training, its better to take another unit, rather than recovering old ground.
How many employers who have staff that drive company vehicles put them through driving training and make them resit their test?????????????

Hiflex are really comfy but not hard wearing, just switched to stretch air about 9 month ago and i cant fault them, extremely comfy and hard wearing.

If the trees are not on network rail land, and they can be felled or sectioned safely with out going near the line or any OHL, then you do not need any person or permission from network rail for the work to be carried out. So dont let people confuse you with COSS,s and PTS,s.

The thing with some of these cheeper insurance companies is that they dont always do their job as a insurance company when you actually need them.
A lad who works for me had his car stolen over a year ago and is still fighting in court to get paid out,
I had a defender stolen about 4 years ago and received a cheque from the NFU with in 2 weeks of it being stolen.
