  1. +1 on the 621 - the 70 had 7 holes across on the pull start and a black top. the 621 has 4 across.
  2. Em - if the bullet and brass casing are in one piece and theres no pin strike mark on the bottom - does that not make it a live round? or am i missing something?

    Stihl 07 1961-1965 used a few different carbs Tillotson HL121A, B, HL-147B, HL-155A series So your 121B is more than likely the original fitted carb. You can download the HL carb diagram and setup instructions from the tillotson website and theres plenty of carb kits for sale on ebay etc. I'd recommend you go with the full kit as it has the needle and seat included in it. The smaller kit only has the gaskets and diaphragm. Dont fiddle with the welch plug if at all possible.
  4. I think theres a specific warning about fitting anything other than an abrasive cut-off disc to the cut-quik range in the manual. Not to say that it hasn't been tried of course....... But i'd imagine that your insurers would walk away in the event of a problem.
