  1. Wrong person sorry, although I have done my share of line clearing
  2. Staunton by Hartpury.
  3. Climber looking for work in Gloucestershire, 10 years experience. Currently self employed with a selection of kit. Would consider any type of work. Qualifications including relevant NTPC, UA, MEWP, pre 97 licence plus Class 2 hgv. Please contact me for further details 07818425077 Paul
  4. That's where I aquired this pair from. Don't see them around so much anymore .
  5. Never an issue I only own one pair
  6. Just bent the gaff on my klein spikes that I have had for years. Not sure whether to replace the gaffs (£50) or too buy a new pair as these are well over 10 years old. Any reviews?
  7. Checked out an atlas last night. Awesome bit of kit. I think they are out of the same place as an Edwards. Just need to place the order now.
  8. I thought I had it short list but now it's increased again. They are all around the same price. In what situation would a 3way tip be useful
  9. Looking at buying a tipping trailer. Not sure whether to go for an ifor Williams, brian James or an atlas. Used the ifor in the past but the other two have nice little touches. Anyone used these?
  10. Bit the bullet and bought the tanaka 230s with the hedge trimmer attachment. Awesome machine and cant fault it so far.
  11. The 85t is meant as a hedge trimmer whereas the 85r has a different gearing to allow for bigger material to be cut. I use the 85t for nice smart hedges that get cut annually and the 85r for ones that get done less regularly. The 85r is more universal.
  12. Pollarded 10 willows on a bung with a 5ft drop either side. Driving up and down all morn grabbing brash for a big burn up. Had to lift the boom to navigate over the pollarded trunks. Got a bit to close to the bank on one trip and couldnt drop the boom as it would of pushed me further over, quickly put in in forward but was too late. Came out shaken but unscathed! the farmer I was borrowing it off was supprisingly calm. Had a great afternoon in the pub aferwards. Allways makes me smile when I see the pic. cheers for the response I'll check out the fs50. I reckon they are trying to push the tanaka as there is probably a greater profit margin for them.
  13. Passed my C in November 07 which also gave me C1. Passed my BE recently and thought I would be covered for C1E as well it appears I was wrong. Make sure you research it before paying for it.
  14. Unfortunatley they didnt have a tanaka to trial. They wont get one in without deposit as its the end of the season. Quite difficult to get a feel for a machine that you cant see running! I purchased a husky 425 top handle on their recommendation earler this year and was really impressed with it compared to the ms200t (not as good but for the price a good saw). Still thinking stick with a manufacurer I know.
  15. Anyone used a tanaka tbc 230s? I have allways used sthil previously but the agent is trying to get me to buy this. There is a huge price difference (£200)! Does that say it all about the quality.
