Have seen this on a bobcat but never on a rubber duck. I see on their website they are looking for dealers in the UK for the processor.

personalised match boxes are around £25.00 for 50,
Ben
Juct come across this, looks like better value than £25 for 50 depending on how fancy you are looking to go.

What you charging and what's your output?

fair play, thats quality...

not much use on a forklift or loader due to the bag dragging behind when going in to the heap.
If you look at their video on the website, how they do it is drive into the heap, then hook on the bag and the trap doors on the scoop can be controlled from the cab to fill the bag.

Dont know what model number this is but comes out of it all right.

this belongs to a lad i know
how well does it dry out in a big heap like that? I guess it will take longer to season than if the wind can easily get through it?
-
yes have tried them no luck
Did they not have anything or were they too expensive?

I guess your right about being busy with tree work, he is only a couple of miles up the road and works all day and night so dont think he is waiting for a days log work.
-
I just called my local tree surgeon for a load of firewood (crew cab transit tipper) and he told me ill have it in a couple of weeks.
Ive typically been able to source my own forewood from various sources FOC so its my first time buying it this way but i thought a 2 week lead time was a bit long. I know im not in a panic for it so its ok now but what lead time do you lot typically have to deliver a load of firewood?

in a previous job i got bulk bags (non vented) from Donegal Potatoes. Dont know if they do small bags. Thats probably the closest to you. The only other conact in the north is M Large who sell processors and bags as well

also going to need net bags
I got vented bulk bags from Welcome to Synthetic Packaging - Construction Horticulture and Industrial Supplies Ireland UK Europe who are based near Clara in Offaly. i see on the website they do small bags too. Where in Ireland are you based?
-
they have an office in Cloughmills, youll get the number off the website.
Let me know how you get on, ill be looking for some wood later in the year. Only other alternative i know of is Coillte here in the south. About 1000 euro of a 40 ft load of softwood.
-
Anyone know where i can get vented bulk bags or vented barrow bags in Ireland. I can get them from the UK but the cost of the carriage shoots up the price per bag.
Thanks
-
i have lots of it.
Garry, can you PM me your details and prices as ill be in the market for some wood in a few weeks.
Thanks
-
you may do a search about this. i remember reading something about this on this forum a while ago and dont think it was a sucess if you are going to use the bags a number of times.
-
To give you and idea as to what the going rate is, I was quoted 250 euro a day (225 pounds) for a tractor, operator and processor (palax 600). He asid he could process and artic load of wood in 2 and a half days.
I would encourage you to be there to help operate the machine. Ive lent out bits and pieces and have had them returned in poorer shape than what they left. Think carefully about who you let it out to....

Miley10, this might even be your website, i kept a note of it when you were asking questions because i thought it was a very effective site and could point me in the right direction when i am doing up mine.
Firewood, logs, kindling - MSM Firewood, Henley, Langport, Somerset
samtheman365, as you said in the original post a few more pictures would be good. I like the one of the door of the truck. It gives the impression that your serious about the job if you have gone to the effort of signwriting the truck.
what i was thinking was get a photo of each of the delivery options ie: a cube tipped up in the yard and half a cube so if someone comes on asking how many logs are in half a cube you can tell them look at the website and thay have a picture.
Other than that its looking good.
Best of luck

I use a 260 on stuff 6-14"
If I had a lot of 12-18" stuff to do I would use my ms390
I prefer the 260 as I can work all day as the weight is easier on the back.
there was a post a few weeks back with a vid and the huskey looked faster but cant comment as not owned that model. I would not go smaller than the 260 and would stick to the forestry range. 361 would be good but too heavy for me.
Many thanks for the advise

This is from JK fabrications, he has been mentioned on here before. Not bad value for a new machine.
