    Walnut take down

    I took this walnut tree down in a friends garden for some practice with a friend who also climbs and was aerial rescue.
  2. Im having a look at it on saturday so i will get some pics up then, just wanted a bit of an idea before i went, thanks for the help so far, cheers.

A friends neighbour has asked me to have a look at there yew hedge which has collapsed from the heavy snow we had, i havent looked at it yet but was wondering if any could give me any advice before i have a look. Someone suggested taking a bit of weight of it and using fence posts to keep it up???, any help would be great, cheers!

  9. yeah im on a rope, my lanyard is around the limb infront and my climbing rope is somewhere on the right, cant quite remember where though
  10. i decided to do this tree for some practice with a friend, he climbs himself and was aerial rescue, my bro took the pics which are not the best.
  11. I had to do 80 hrs placement and got paid nothing, i wasnt expecting to be paid, also had to follow the Mog everywhere in my car using alot of fuel but was well worth it for the experience.
  12. Hey Tom, yeah its me!, i took your advice and got on Arbtalk finally. I was going to give you a call sometime this week about any work you had, i think everyone is in the same boat with things being quiet the now, im happy to come out and help you guys whenever as any experience possible is good!, cheers for the offer of help with knots, hitches etc i will be sure to keep it in mind, i just finished cutting my prussiks to length, done it with tape, knife and a lighter and seems to have worked fine, thanks.
  13. yeah i have already done so, i counted 25+ CV's i have sent out in the last three weeks and have only heard back from two of the companys both with no work, maybe phoning would be a better option though, i will get some pics up soon, thanks for your help!

  15. Hi, I finished up an ND Arb course in June last year an am seeking a trainee position in Scotland, i have cs 30/31, 38/39, MEWP, driving license and emergency first aid. I have forestry labouring experience prior to college and very good work ethic with a keen interest in Arb. I would also be available to work part time on a day to day basis depending on location.
