Thanks, The tree will be felled Monday so photos to follow! Some nice timber off already. The works are being done at cost for a local charity so be great to get a good price for the timber at assist with the costs. :thumbup:

We are dismantling a large walnut in West Bromwich 5mins off junction 1 of the M5 limited access for a small haib or telehadler but is limited so a site visit might be required prior to collection. Approx 1.5m dia and a single 5m length could be cut plus addition lengths from the main truck. Positioned in the grounds of a community centre. I need to drop a fair bit, i was 13 stone when climbing on a regular basis.. hit 15 stone at christmas.. im 6' 3' so not a bad weight but lean is the way to go for me as a climber... 3 months to get climbing fit... then i see about getting back in the saddle full time....

Ive introduced some TABATA principles into my weekly programme, noticed my anaerobic fitness levels have improved dramatically The Christmas excess is also dropping off rapidly.....

Hi all, Ive been thinking of putting together a fitness programme based on the fitness and work ethic required in the world of tree work, I'd combine the work of the climber groundsman and axe. I'm no fitness expert but as I'm mainly a manager these days i try to keep fit for work by training and carry out specific exercises to allow be to climb injury free and effectively when i get in the harness. I'd like some feed back on the idea... with the current LUMBERSEXUAL... trend i thought a woodsman related fitness programme would be appealing across the board. Open to your favourite exercises and what you all find the hardest part of the job... mine these days is mental stress.... miss the physical rigour of the job and the daily workout you get form your daily job.... Pics/diagrams or short vids of you all carry out your favourites would be great.... I'll start with a must have in the fitness locker Burpee.... 100 ten sets of 10.... 60 seconds between sets
