  1. Great idea on the apprenticeships. Good luck with it all.

The comments regarding stump height are laughable. I think anyone who picks up on that pic and tries to make a big deal of it needs to seriously re-evaluate their priorities in life. Maybe get out more, go for a walk etc.

Tommorow I will prune a 1000 year old TPO'd veteran Oak with a grapple Skidder.

Then lets see what you all say.

  2. Yawn. They're arb students - why be so negative about a post with some great photos?!

It's constructive criticism, aiming to instill good working practices and ensure students aren't being taught incorrectly. The OP said "woodland skills". Either way, timber or arb operatives shouldn't be a) wasting timber, b) causing obstructions for forest machines and so on.

  3. Too hot for me already. Processing all day in cloudless sky's. Drank 4.5 litres of water on site and still thirsty.

Lose the water and go to coconut water.

You live in one of the dullest places, miserable weather wise. This dry spell is probably a one-off golden opportunity to get some Vit-D, gets logs drying real well and it's frankly beautiful and you're complaining!

  4. Aye John, sad news.

'Children' was an important tune for me back in the day.

I played it earlier and it's just as good now.

I've pulled the Dreamland Album out the ol CDs; will be played as a mark of respect tonight.

Same - song for the height of life. 1995 - amazing year...

  5. Christianity was the seed that spawned Islam..

Spat my tea out lol. Yet another expert on Christianity!

    1. I know of plenty Moslem Shopkeepers who don't seem to mind.

    2. Plenty of countries manage it.

    6. Again, vote Labour.

    7. The queen is the head of the C of E. Most court cases are "Regina(The Queen) Vs ..."

    8. Like the Home grown radicalised nut job who killed MP Jo Cox?

    9. Turing's Law - named after a man who was chemically castrated by the British Government. Heard of that?

What are you hoping to achieve? You're failing miserably. I'll say it again once more in case you somehow missed it first time round. I welcome refugees with open arms. Skilled migrant workers, with open arms. Economic migrants, considerably less so.

    Now back under your bridge.

    Aff yer heid.

  6. How can people be upset that a bunch of Holocaust deniers failed to be elected as the government of France? Genuinely interested.

You're saying M L-P is a holocaust denier?! Or some fruit cakes in the FN?

    Huffington Post strikes again?

Reckon just a few of Merkel and Macrons favourite immigrants might be Holocaust deniers too? Thought of that have ya?!

  7. Douglas Murray's new book, out now, important reading for anyone who values European civilisation and wants to know why the liberal political elites of the EU seem intent on seeing it's extinction via mass immigration
