Mate of mines got a griffin case, seems more effective than an otterbox for the same price.

Does it need collecting or do need somewhere to tip it. If you need to tip it i'm not far from Bromley.

Was the tank empty when she put the petrol in? I am assuming you have about an 80 litre tank- maybe more- so if the tank was empty and she only put 9 litres of petrol in i personally wouldnt be concerned. The biggest danger from petrol in diesel engines is the increased pressure, which can essentially hydraulic your engine in extreme cases.

Just turned the car over and got it started and ticks over fine but havent driven it yet. Its a 3.0 Cdti.

The mrs managed to put 9 litres of petrol in her diesel vectra. Advised by local vauxhall dealer to fill tank and all should be ok. Filled it up no problems and drove home. Two hours later went to drive car and now wont work.
Any thoughts ?

I prefer your image - it's got a hobbit feel about it.

Sounds like its the feed from the engine to the autobox, the one that tells the box what speed the engine is running at.
The feed usually comes from the alternator/stator depending what engine it has.
The wire could be broken or the alternator/stator could be knackered, or it could be the autobox.
Check the wiring and also check the battery is getting 14V ish volts when running at highish revs.
Havent had it apart yet, thanks for that will see what I find.

Using today and the stress control became intermitant when swithed on feed rollers would not go. When I swithed it off feed rollers worked. I'm thinking loose wiring any one else with any suggestions.

Mmmm - tiipping it forward and an increase in revvs sounds like the fuel is being taken away from the fuel pickup thus air being pulled in - so, check the filter and fuel line are good.
A strange fault - start with factory settings on the carb - I think around 1 turn out on both H&L screws.
A dodgy idle can be caused by many reasons, I would start by checking the breather, fuel lines - give the carb a clean out. Inspect the plug, check the coil to flywheel gap and make sure the compression is ok.
If you can, check that pressure can be held in the cankcase.
Plug and compression appear fine although i'm no expert.
Your other suggestions sound good but a bit beyond me, needs to be looked at by someone me thinks.

Need some advice please. Have just got hold of an old Husky 268 xp managed to get it running all be it a bit lumpy. Have now got it to run well lots of power good revs but hard to get it to idle (it has a tillotson carb but idle screw not obvious maybe not the original). The main problem is when at idle if the saw is tipped forward it starts to rev up which is a tad concerning..... any ideas please.

Stick them on ebay as spares or repairs, list them individually. You will be amazed what people pay. Other than that send all the 64's to me and i will stash them in my workshop for a rainy day.
New super fast log splitter. Must watch.
