For sale a GD 6x4 general purpose trailer which has had very little use and stored undercover. It`s very clean and in excellent condition £650.
Send me a PM for further enquiries.

No public access or rights of way through or along the wood but thanks for the information Arob.
I`ll check the small woods site out for starters..
-
I don't have a winch Huck and i couldn't see the farmer allowing me or anyone else taking either a tractor or any other vehicle across his barley fields.
Work in this wood is not important to him and i suppose to a point it`s not important to me either.
But i would like it to be a better place that`s all..

I`ll be following the advice that Charlie recommends and work in the higher and drier area`s. That would suit the wildlife that i`m trying to encourage better.
The Winch suggestion would be impracticable and the water is from a stream that runs alongside it. Though the ground does have a very high water table in the area anyway.

I hope they are Ash Huck only there`s another 3 hung up tree`s on the other side and two which have suffered considerable fire damage after a caravan set fire.
Loaded up

Time`s are getting harder for us Brickies so beggars cant be choosers especially after spotting these tree`s down in the neighbors field.
Apparently they have been down for a few months so i asked if could have them for Firewood.
I haven't got a clue what they are but they chop real easy, lol.
Oh the Orange handled saw hopefully will be a white one early some time next year
-
As an amatuer home user my first thoughts were what a good idea i`ll pay the extra and get the new modern design tensioning system.
Even to me it looks very fragile and expencive looking to replace should it get damaged.
It`s starting to look like another saw purchase for me one with nuts and a white handle.
-
The Chain Quick Tensioning models are they better than the standard option saw`s either is low/high power models?
-
It`s down to sensible use and know the limitations of the tool`s at hand..
Pointless having a massive powerful chainsaw around the chipper, Hedge laying or fencing but i suppose it would be good for the posing aspect eh Quipy just as long as its got a white handle
-
I see you did`nt get the present containing a sence of humer again this year
Quipy
But its very true what you say floging cheap tools will feck them up.
Do i think you were hard on me? Nope..
Now calm down loosen up and put your dummy back in eh
-
That Treequip guy recons your a bummer if you dont have a white handle ont saw
-
My first chainsaw (MS230) used for Firewood and hedgelaying it`s 10 months old and all ready i want something more powerfull and a different colour
-
Some more pictures..

what purpose does the wood serve, or is it completely un-utilised, do you have an interest in nature conservation or financial requirement for the woodland, you will get a load of diffent answers, is that photo typical of the whole site, are there protected species present, what has been the historical management, whats the site like, dry and good access, boggy and difficult to get round? its quite a tricky one to advise on and ultimately only you know what you want to achieve with the site....... go on give us a clue
Hi Charlie there is no financial interest in this wood and the work that i`m about to do will be unpaid and in my own free time.
But yes i do have an interest in nature and conservation.
There are no protected species present and the only history that i know of it is that it`s been like this for for the last 25 years untouched.
The site is very boggy in the majority of places with limited access.
What do i want to achieve? well some thing that Deer will like Charlie.

The best part about this is that i have no woodland management or tree care experience that`s why i`m asking for advice.
This little wood is about 90% Alder with a few Birch and as many Oak.
A few Holly a small amount of Willow on the other side and some mature Elder Berry.
Coppicing the lot i don't think my farmer mate would like that though i could see the benefits myself.
Treedave`s advice for small areas sound`s better and would look more easy on the eye`s from the farmer`s point of view too
Extracting the firewood would be a job in itself i cut down two tree`s last year and wheelbarrowed the wood over 200 yards to the nearest access point.
-
I thought i`d put a couple of picture`s up of a 5 acre wood that i have access too.
I`d like to see some better ground cover in this wood to aid wildlife in general or would it be best left alone?
