  1. carb could be an option, i had to modify the linkage arm slightly when i first got the saw as it wasnt returning properly due to is being over long. it hits max revs but it just doesnt seem cut like it should, had it in running against a 341, simeler sized saw etc and it was pissing all over my saw lol, had the clutch out and there doesnt seem to be any problems there although it could do with a grease up. i had to change the feuling slightly aswell as it wasnt idling properly, seems to cut out when its hot or when the chain brake is applied, resistance maybe ? cleaned the air filter out also but it could be cleaner so possible new air filter aswell ?

looked at new drive sprockets yesterday but the company didnt have the small centered 1 in stock so i have replaced the old for a new standard 1 with small center

  2. It seems to be working ok just now...

This is a direct link to the page within the Barony's website, just in case the above one plays up again:

I was up a few trees with Mr Irving yesterday as it happens trying out some of our new kit (they're not new but my god those Petzl Pantins make life easier for an unfit, office bound IT bod like me!!).

aye so i heard james lol, was in seeing blair yesterday, pantin are the boy like :D

  3. i have a komatsu zenoah 621, its a 62 cc saw and i think it could be nearly 9 year old.

i have ported the saw which made a difference, the sparkplug is the cookie brown like it should be but it still seems to lack a bit of oomph so if anyone has any ideas that i could try (cheap) then it would be greatly appreciated.

the saw only cost me 50 quid so if its a case of run it till its dead thats what i shall do lol but obviously i want to get a year out of it so only 10 months to go ha ha

  4. wsithin a 2 hour radius of dumfries mate, its between clark engineering and the barony organising.

this post is just out of interest, there is another post with regards to the show.

its a first time show so thats why it wont be heard of m8 :D

  5. i have the older version of this one, with an extended bed and supernova self centering 4 way chuck, ifi get time il take some pics of the stuff i have turned in the past.

bowls are my speciality and when i have the patients i can achieve a glass like smooth/ shiny finish :D

  6. depends on the sort of turning you want to do m8, i have a small record power lathe and they are the best hobby/ all round beasties. cant remember the model of mine but il do some research for you and let you know :)

  7. I dont see the point using both ends of your rope when you have a landyard, unless your coming in from a really long branch walk,

why dont you like using 1 rope nuggys?

tis more wieght to carry round the tree, gets caught on everything and im faster on mainline and lanyard :)

was climbing again today and didnt really need my secondary or the other end of my rope, just used the lanyard for position and transfers
