Hi, I have a large volume of timber to process this winter, and a handling aid would be an advantage, I have a pair of thongs, but am thinking of buying a log spike or I have heard them called logeroons. The stihl catalogue has two. Which is the best the long handled version or short handled ? I am getting them off the pile and putting straight through my processor. The rounds are all about 1-1.5m long and up to 10inch dia. ANy body use these tools ?

Have had Haix boots in the past, but have moved onto Elten Hydro fell find these much more flexible and light wieght for climbing, The old Haix just get used now for gettin a foot in the door, when collecting money off people that are slow in paying. P.S. Because they are so heavy, they are great for excerting pressure on debtor's toes.

We aim to get there before it gets that bad. P.S. we don't just go to the ones with the flames coming out, we go to em all.........

Yer I agree, nothing so infuriating as driving in the wrong direction cause they got the map upside down. In the maps we carry they have all the info Generally the driver drives, the guys in the back map read/ shout obsenities/panic/pray etc:thumbup1:

As well as an arborist, running my own business, I am a leading Firefighter, with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, with 15 years under my belt. It still amazes me how many people do not put a house name or number out side their property, makes life difficult mate. Then they wonder why it took so long to get to them.
