  1. Coming from a Forestry and Sawmilling background I am always surprised that folk use water. Until the advent of the portable mill I had never heard of using water.

The standard Stenner drip feed is an economical device and it only needs filling twice a day.

    codlasher

I have a drip feeder off a slurry tanker pump that I may have a look at tomorrow and see if I can rig that up.

  2. Lovely shed there Adam!

It is a lot of machine for the money. I'm just about to put an order in for the frame saw and the edger.

It's all made from larch thats come off the firewood pile!

The build quality is very good so I don't think you'll go wrong with the frame saw and edger.

Are you making lots of cladding?

  3. Got my new mill working today!

I'm very impressed with it I will stick some pictures on in the next few days.

A delivery driver stopped on the road today and asked how much I would charge to slab up 3 18" square pitch pine beams 12 foot long into 1.5" thick planks.

As I've just started milling I've no idea what to charge per hour.

My mill is not mobile so he would bring it to my yard.

  4. Well as the title says I've just bought one.

    It's a ttp 600 6 meter bed.

It's first job will be to mill it's self a new shed!

Any one any idea on what price I should be buying saw logs in at at price per hoppus foot?:confused1:

Prices for different species would be a great help.

It's all new to me as I only buy firewood in at 10 to 12 inch diameter to throw through the processor

  5. looks in top nick adam,i don't think your price is untoward, good luck mate.if i were to be picky on such an expensive item i would offer postage insurance (only a couple of quid) rather than saying post at risk!!

Thanks for the tip i will put insurance on the advert cheers:thumbup1:

  6. Think it's over priced to be honest, i got an 880 last year with a 48" bar in better condition for 600 quid but good luck anyway.

I just went from completed listings and come on its far superior to a stihl:lol:
