Are we talking a drip a second or more?
-
Just wondering what other people use and why? I'm using straight water at the min but I've heard of people using water/soap mix and also red diesel. Cheers

Good stuff. Milling is very addictive!

Lovely shed there Adam!
It is a lot of machine for the money. I'm just about to put an order in for the frame saw and the edger.
It's all made from larch thats come off the firewood pile!
The build quality is very good so I don't think you'll go wrong with the frame saw and edger.
Are you making lots of cladding?

I'm guessing there are reclaimed beams so factor in the assorted ironwork buried in the beam.
I hadn't thought of nails etc! Thank you! Sure fire way to knacker up a blade!

Got my new mill working today!
I'm very impressed with it I will stick some pictures on in the next few days.
A delivery driver stopped on the road today and asked how much I would charge to slab up 3 18" square pitch pine beams 12 foot long into 1.5" thick planks.
As I've just started milling I've no idea what to charge per hour.
My mill is not mobile so he would bring it to my yard.

I bought it from the guys at old station wood yard. They are very good to deal with.
It should be here on Monday so I will get some pictures on for you to see.

Well as the title says I've just bought one.
It's a ttp 600 6 meter bed.
It's first job will be to mill it's self a new shed!
Any one any idea on what price I should be buying saw logs in at at price per hoppus foot?
Prices for different species would be a great help.
It's all new to me as I only buy firewood in at 10 to 12 inch diameter to throw through the processor

I have often thought of providing a mobile pelleting/briquetting facility but can never make the numbers stack up.
I've thought of it to but I think it's more hassle than its worth!
-
I'd love it but your rather a long way off from me. Whenever I want somthing it's always miles away!
-
We run a RUF it's our second one now. We started with the spunk-a-matick Chinese ones and have gone from there. Do you make briquettes?
-
We already have one cheers. do you sell them?
-
Just wondering how many people on here make wood briquettes and what type and make of machine you use?
-
Cheers for the reply. It should be here next week. We make briquettes normally so should be fun.

Hello does anyone have a hakki pilke 2x 30 that can tell me if they are a good machine? I've heard about belt wear problems being a big issue? I'm looking at buying one but I'm not sure whether it's a good move?
-
I realize this is an old post but we have the same issue with the reverse cable. We have been quoted 440 plus vat for the pair. Where did you buy your cable from ?
Cheers

looks in top nick adam,i don't think your price is untoward, good luck mate.if i were to be picky on such an expensive item i would offer postage insurance (only a couple of quid) rather than saying post at risk!!
Thanks for the tip i will put insurance on the advert cheers:thumbup1:

Think it's over priced to be honest, i got an 880 last year with a 48" bar in better condition for 600 quid but good luck anyway.
It does have best offer on it so you never know.

I have a drip feeder off a slurry tanker pump that I may have a look at tomorrow and see if I can rig that up.
