  1. I don't know of any others. There was one in Northern Scotland for sale a couple of years back, and I know that Willie at Abbey Timber speaks highly of his.

This one came from the Isle of Bute and was originally supplied by fuelwood but they don't support them anymore. I know in 1999 it was £38000. If it will do what laimet claim it should do over 20 cubic meters per 8 hour shift!. It's supposed to be 3 times as quick as a band rack but I guess time will tell on that one. It supposed to be able to do a 29foot length too. Once it's up and running I will take some videos. Can you put videos on here?

  2. for larch i would like to see a large knife behind the blade and wedges on hand, also how did you get on with the blades? the teeth look like simonds 3 x 9 insert - gotta love a big circular mill!

It's a bit of a beast!:thumbup1:The knife is being painted at the minute. Your exactly right with the blade simonds inserts. Lancashire saws can sort me out they have hundreds in stock and at a quid a piece I don't think badly priced! I've just put all new bearings in it. It's built like a tank and really easy to work on.

  3. Yes all three phase although you can run the laimet off a tractor if you wanted.

I've got so many jobs to do at the moment it's nuts! Better than being quiet though! I've a 15 foot extention to put on the end of the workshop now because the laimet is to long!

  4. Well I've just bought another sawmill. I must be nuts this is number four in the last 10 months! :001_rolleyes: my question is my laimet 120 uses a circular saw blade has anyone got any ideas where go get carbide tipped inserts from for the blade and a tool to remove them? Or new blades?

  5. Well guys my stenner 48 turned up today but I have a problem! It's a hydraulic powered rack version but it's got no hydraulic power pack! It has the hydraulic motor and drive gear for the rack but no electric motor or oil pump. Can anyone tell me what size power pack I need ie the size of the motor and hydraulic pump litres per minute etc . Also the oil tank size? Cheers Adam
