  1. Excellent safety plan document. Just in passing, should the access line itself be attached at the ground by way of a porta-wrap or figure eight in order that the rescuer and injured might both be lowered back to the ground; or is that assumed by the term "access line".
  2. I too have been using the Petzl Cartool to carry the climbing saw (200T). Now I am wondering if I am making a mistake. Was there a reason beyond normal use that caused yours to snap?
  3. With the cost of the MS200T being what it is, I reserve its use solely for work up in the tree where its power is useful. For sorting things out on the ground, I have and use a far less expensive Echo CS300 that has performed admirably for light work for quite some time.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
