  1. Hi guys I have been asked to do two trees for my father in law in St. Germans. 1 euc 22m and 1 conifer 14m. Is anyone interested in giving me a pm either with a price for removal only i.e. one load of chipping and 1 load of logs on a 1 day price or if you wanna quote for it! PM me and i can pass on your details. He has had one price of £2500. Which seems outragously steep from the photos!
  2. Hello ello! hows things? ready to be the first radiologist with a chainsaw ticket? say hello to the others for me!

  3. Just seen it on tv and just looked it up! Horrble my thoughts are with them.
  4. really OTT but i didn't see the first part where he drove off either! and his story sounds extremely weak:sneaky2: reminds me of that video where the coppers were caught out hitting a squaddie on the floor.
  5. Not a dig at arbjobs but these big firms just advertise constantly and i was considering moving down to devon cornwall to find work as 2 big companies were advertising they needed climbers. Spoke to them on the phone sent cv's and emails, no replies!!!! waste of my time
  6. As an ex Royal Navy Medic with Afghan and Iraq tours under my belt i think that basic FA is essential not only to our work but everyday lives! When i taught first aid i always reminded people that they were more likely to use these skills on people they know and care about. The worst i have come across is when i worked for my LA they were adament they wern't going to train anyone in the tree gang???? What a joke:thumbdown:

if in doubt take it back to where you bought it and get them to look at it thats what i would do after excluding the really simple and obvious i.e spills, loose fuel cap etc
  8. I don't know what you have had done but you would be able to get a further sicknote if you were to say you were still in pain! Be creative as your health is important too
  9. Is it a nasty big pile of stuff? coz if its not i would throw it though your chipper for you:thumbup: did i say for a small labour fee:001_cool:
  10. Hi muckshifter are you based in the swansea/ neath area? Have we met?

  11. Maybe you should add the ability to take a photo to your groundy advert
  12. Jon lad thats a great looking tree. I am in awe!!!
  13. I thought it was me for a minute:blushing: but mine will be me spiking off a tree looking at the stem as i walk backwards then i spike into my own boot and fall outta the shot behind a log:lol: The people who we were working for filmed the lot and said they would give me a copy in HD. I was going to send it to youve been framed but they beat me to it:sneaky2: so keep your eyes peeled:thumbup1:
  14. Oh and as a H&S bod once said "This job is not dangerous as it should be done safetly"
