  1. Yes, however fitting it to slide truly centered in an alignment tube would be a hell of a trick! Of course I know you meant the Atom as an alternative to my trusty Tanaka two stroke reversible drill motor Nomad, just pulling your leg mate! What's the most popular 18volt cordless drill in Britain? Here in the states it's the Ridgid cordless. Dewalt is also a top seller. jomoco
  2. You guys sure have a knack for making something easy, simple and very inexpensive into a complicated and pricey mess. http://black-max.com/itemdetail.asp?item=21144&CAT= jomoco
  3. Over two dozen perfectly aligned cables installed so far. After figuring out that a very sharp pointy triangular flat drill bit was a must to initiate a pilot hole at acute angles, it has worked great. Next phase for me is getting rid of the air drill and adapting an 18 volt cordless to the application. A quick change drill chuck would be sweet too. Thanks for the positive feedback guys. Work Safe! jomoco
  4. I'm very familiar with patents, and patent laws. The tool is now in the public domain, and any company that wishes to can manufacture alignment tube kits and sell them anywhere in the world, though none will be able to claim any patent rights. It is my invention, a gift to the tree industry worldwide, and proof that some folks don't worship leveraged profits and cornered markets. Anyone wishing to fab their own alignment tubes can do so. If they need any help to optimize their design and use the correct type of drill bits to minimize acute angle deflection, I'll be happy to provide that info to them for free, just ask and it's yours cousins. jomoco
  5. Howdy cousins! I've invented a new cabling alignment tool, I call them cabling alignment tubes. They are very handy for ensuring the holes you drill into trunks and leaders for your cabling hardware are in perfect alignment with the lay of the cable. Invented around xmas 08. [ame] [/ame] And here's the tool being used in an old mature Torrey pine tree on the bay in San Diego, CA. [ame] [/ame] The tubes are only used to get 3/8ths pilot holes about 8 inches deep at the correct angle. A typical two stroke drill motor is used to enlarge and push the hole all the way through at a perfectly true and straight angle for throughbolt hardware installation. What do you think cousins? jomoco
  6. Well Tock my friend, I'll grant that genuine coincidences do happen, however when they cluster about a single dire event like flies on a dead carcass, well that's a wee indication of something else entirely. Just what do you find so enthralling about Bushco and the PNAC group of neocons that makes you so trusting of their benevolent intent throughout the world? I'm off to chop a wee tree over a friends house this fine morn, but like our gov here is so fond of saying "I'll be back". Top o the mornin to you cousins! jomoco
  7. Thanks for the warm welcome Tock, very kind of you. Yes, I'm the leader of the more than 200 million conspiracy theorists here in America. How do you do. jomoco
  8. Hi Steve, So tell me, do British climbers use Cambium Savers to minimize cambial damage to trees at the climbers Tie in Point, you know rope damage in crotches? I trust that everyone loves our president in Britain to much the same degree he's loved here in the states? Pardon my first question if you're not a climber Steve. jomoco
  9. Dreamt up? Manufactured might be more accurate unfortunately. Your posts last sentence would be very true, sans any neocon influence or leadership, IMHO. Bushco impeachment success will help tremendously. An embarrassed but still hopeful yankee opinion. Hey there! Across the Pond! Greetings Cousins! jomoco:wave::wave:
