  1. When your 50 and still climbing your arms wont be the same trust me. Used brute force on three strand and prussik loops for many years, great when your young. Always trying something new to make life easier. I think the pantin is a great idea if its used methodically and like its not a race. Climb smarter and last longer.
  2. Forgot to ask ,is the Perenniporia fraxinea rare or just not common.
  3. Thanks for that confirmation, are the pictures worth adding to the fungi gallery?
  4. Can any one help with this very large fungi on ash, could it be an old perenniporia fraxinea.

Hi. Read the post you put up.Yorkshireman seems to have covered the obvious. There all basically the same,Check oil, filters, pump,Hyd motor and at the end the keyway. Admit that the 135 is well underpowered at 27hp, which is why they stopped producing it.

Do you have a land force duo 135? Just posted a problem with one we have on lone which is not working very well. Hope you can help. mph

  7. thanks for the reply. The tank looks almost full although its difficult to see any refernce mark on the side of the tank. I don't know where the the relief valve is. We did locate a black double turnable plastic knob near too the junction of pipes by the hopper, which we have turned and it seems to speed up and slow down the rollers. As for the filter i take it that the red large cap on top of the tank houses the filter. Is it ok to open this when its under pressure?
  8. Just been loned the above chipper while mine is being re manufactured, we are having major problems trying to chip minor branches let alone anything above 2 inches! The bottom roller jams and stops at the sight of wood, I think this machine has a phobia about work. It seems that possibly there is not enough hydraulic pressure and that the small debris that drop down beneath the bottom roller is enough to jam it. The pressure is less than 1 bar and only just off zero,I don't know how accurate the gauge is. Has anyone any used this type of chipper and can help with any possible solutions. This is with out doubt the worst machine I have ever had the misfortune to use, big ugly heavy and not very practicle.
  9. Has anyone first hand expirence of a good company to carry out 130 tipper conversion on a new single cab,and general tips on build ideas. Currently we are looking at Arbtruck.com and foley, nene are not returning my calls. Also trying to find a good insurance quote, currently with NFU and still waiting for a quote. Apparently my hcpu landrover has been for many years insured on a car policy and now they tell me I need commercial insurance policy? sound like its going to be expensive. Also worried about having it stolen and waiting a long time for a replacement. Was thinking of having a tracker fitted as I will be keeping it for a long time. Hope someone out there can help, really glad this forum exists and looking forward to being an active member. As uasual time is my problem if work carrys on which I hope it does, then a trip to the funny farm is just a logs through away.
  10. Down south in Gloucestershire.
  11. Just ordered a new Defender 130tipper should be ready mid september. I will let you know what I think then. We currently use a hcpu defender 200tdi 17 years from new with 155000 miles, along with another 4x4 to tow chipper and tipping trailer combination. The 200tdi has been very reliable and cheap to run and the trailers are so versatile. Just thought its about time to renew the landrover and the 130 tipper has been a long time coming. Smart tidy landrovers are very good for the image, towing, and you never know when four wheel drive will come in handy, its good to have that option.
  12. Started tree work at 18 still climbing at 45. The person I started to work for is 70! Keep your weight down, cut out as much crappy food and exercise and yes I still hurts. Its more to do with pacing yourself and knowing when to moderate your effort. Use your expirence the days of going hell for leather are gone because you know the next day you will be f****d
