Veg oil does seem to gunge things up a bit. But hey its got to be better for you than mineral oil when its being sprayed all over you and your inhaling the mist.
As to wether bars and chains wear out more, well I use more chain in arb work that I did in the woods, mainly due to concrete, nails, metal brackets, wire etc.. and I use fewer bars, as the nose rarely explodes due to snedding.

I had probs with a 357. Source was a split in the plastic pipe connecting the auto decopression bits.

Bad news those bolts. I did the same thing a couple of months ago. I drilled the head out. Then got the blade off followed by a bit of physical on the stub and hey presto.
I have recently had the feed rollers re-splined the nylon bearings re-machined and a new bottom motor for less than £ 500 inc vat .
( The motor cost £156+vat. from a hydraulics specialist , ready to fit straight in. TW want £300+ or more for the same part )

Am I right in thinking that there are more videos out there of this crew? I'm sure I saw one over at "the treehouse" ( folding the euc. you know if you have seen it )

I just covered that in a 4 day first aid at work course. The training cost time and money but what I learnt could save a life or prevent one from being a miserable existence.
