What survey software do you use, what would be recomended for general tree reports - surveys, schools, open spaces, ect.
-
NFU aswell, very reasonable, we shopped around and found them to beat most:thumbup:

Hi there whats Jarnos second name, worked on the railways quite a while ago down your way with a guy called Jarno Glasscock, working for fountains at the time about 2000 or 2001 i think
Thats the chap, he left Fountains and went out contracting, does a few days for us and another contractor
-
Any Pics of the injury?
He does have some but not shure if he wants to post them as yet I did surgest he put them on Arbtalk,

Thursday my contract climber was reducing a conifer for another company he works for when not with us, the top hadled saw kicked the brake came on but the saw kicked back lifted his visor and as a result cut him fron the edge of the lip down to his chin this resulted in Jarno having 40, yes 40 stiches in his wound, being a tough little bugger he went of to hospital got stiched up and returned to the site to remove the debris before going home. I think any other person would of a least had the rest of the day of, not him. What a GUY

err sorry but that is NOT the case and who ever has told you that EVEN if it was someone from the DVLA or VOSA do not know what they are talking about!
i heve been there & done it lots of times in the past with 4x4 & 6x6 trucks (e.g. hgv into AMV)
see How to exchange a tax disc
"You’ll need to exchange your tax disc if you make any changes to your vehicle’s construction or use that will change the tax class or the amount of vehicle tax you pay"
"Exchange your tax disc if you change the:
tax class (this does not apply for tax classes where
no vehicle tax is payable)
engine size (cylinder capacity)
type of fuel used
weight of a goods vehicle
number of seats on a bus
the use of a vehicle you have just bought"
remember change of tax class is normaly done at your nearest Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) local office
Is it possible to change our 150" 6x6 to an agricultural tax claas & if so can you point us in the right direction

Adam I hope your not referring to Irwins Mog, you will upset him!
-
do you still have the 110 aswell? or was that the 110 i you used to have?
Thats the 110 converted
-
I did wonder - only from the point that it seems a lot of cash for something that only carries 2 tonne.
I bet it pays back in advertising though.
The avertising factor is great
-
I mean no offence, but to me it looks more of an expensive toy. I'm sure it works well, but was it worth the expense?
There is a story behind the price 3/4 was paid by insurance company after one of my groundies tipped the back and snapped the chassis clean in two behind the springs, needless to say he is no longer with us
-
i saw you drive through hurstbourne in that. it was a monster.
wish i could get insured on one as my first car haha.
did you get the job at doyley manor?
adam
Hi Adam, Doyle Manor is all done and dusted
-
How much all together?
A LOT!
-
They look very expensive.
The conversion costs around 2.5K for the steel work, thats without the axle, wheels, fuel line extensions, wireing loom, brake lines. The diff is 4.7K = VAT, quite expensive in all
-

I think I have just fallen in love! Stunning land rover Arborworks. I will second what grey git said, I want one!!!
Time to find a 110 hi cap then. I bet getting it through a sva may be a problem though. I am sure I saw one a while ago at land rover fest with an extra bit of chassis plated on to the back of it, so its got to be possible.
I take that your 150 Arborworks was built up on a new chassis?
This started life as a 110 hicap, the back end was cut of at the sping hangers then a 40" extension welded in, 3rd axle put in with up & over diff and hay presto a 150" 6x6 was born. Getting it plated is a very long drawn out process though but woth it

Nice landy arborworks. I WONT ONE LIKE THAT!!
wife says no as my 130 takes up enough room on the driveway.
bet its good for keeping the ground presher down so not rutting up clients land.
Very good on the ground pressure side of things, fully loaded you wouldnt know you had been there. Does take up a bit of room though trying to park in a normal car parking space
-
Sorry, i didnt mean from the weight, surely when you turn (like a lorry) one set of tyres are scuffing while the others are moving?
they are all wearing the same, the rear axles are quite close together and have proved to be very effective in tyre wear

I considered changing to a 150 last year but decided that because the 130 had the turning circle of a double decker bus the 150 would be far worse. But there again the advantage would be you could have the same size tipper body plus have a tool cabinet behind the cab,
The turning circle is the same as a 130, pritty big but great for reversing close coupled chippers

Today we were called to view an Old Oak within the New Forest National Park, this tree measured 80' tall, the canopy spread was 25 metres and the butt measured 5 metres round. When we first saw the tree from a distance it looked in good vigar, but on closer inspection it had a large split down the main trunk, we called the tree officer who came out right away. We discussed options and due to its suroundings he advised that we fell. The tree is estimated to be between 250 - 300 years old, it seems a great shame to fell such a tree of this age. What are your thoughts on this, would you fell or pollard?
