  1. Worked on a dying walnut tother day. Small foliage, at least 15% die back in whole crown and black weeping sap in main stem. Couldn't find any fruiting bodies. I know photos would have helped, but my phone is playing up on that front. Any ideas?

Also left a bit of a rash on our arms, that could of been the heat though

    trees, waves and cakes!!:-)

  2. Type A's for sure in this weather. Straight off into shorts when all saw work is done. May not look proffessional, but neither does a load of heat struck, sweaty buffoons.

And of course, more water than's in the atlantic:cool:

  3. The bigger the tree, the bigger the hassle. Unless you can fell them over in a one-er:D

You usually find a hidden gem in the stem that blunts yer chain and kills any chance of an early finish.

Even more frustrating when the client comes out with the classic "i didn't realise so much goes into taking a 100ft tree down" after they've haggled over the price.

  4. Could aways make sure everyone has to sit a AT certificate. Make them sit a test (chargeable, of course). Then need a card (chargeable, of course) to display if requested. And then a yearly refresher (chargeable, of course). All guarrenteed and above board, which can be added to our ladened wallets bursting with various cards proving we're trained how to breathe etc.

Or, just have an open forum where everyone can pick the opinions they find useful and scratch the ones they dont. i.e. Its fine how it is:rolleyes:
