  1. In the desert dehydration is a major concern. I like to pre-hydrate in the mornings sometimes I drink up to 1/2 a gallon before work even starts.
  2. The manufacturers specs. call for "loctite 222" to be used on the shackles, bolts, clevises (whichever you refer them). I personally used a comparible, removable loctite product. I still check the shackles every week or so, or before any big climb. Never had one come loose yet.
  3. Hi! Heres a shot of the bridge I just replaced on my BF2. I found the old one wearing out where the webbing was on the clevis, and directly in the middle. I like the knots as they prevent my connection hardware from sliding over the clevises.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
