  1. We do loads every yeat using a 1000mm by 300mm piece of plastic pipe and wooden wedges hammered in. Usually set the pipe in about a cubic metre of concrete. For really tall trees, we drop a steel disc with spikes welded on into the bottom to stop the butt from moving about.
  2. when burning wet, seasoned logs at home in the stove, we just stick em infront of the fire til they stop steaming then chuck em on!
