  1. you have to be very careful buying these on ebay, a lot of sellers state inaccurate readings.

The best and they are amazing are from the US, see Sherrill catalogue. However they are strong and I understand illegal in this country.

  2. Glad you enjoyed it Jonesie!!!!!! I mean the nurse pushing a pill up your bum. I suppose that was to control your headache just like the Italians do. They seem to have a different colour suppositry for every ailment.

Take care mate do as you are told and keep chirpy.

  3. I am elated as not used to winning raffle prizes! Thank you seems somehow insufficient for all the work put into this now hopefully annual event by Steve and all concerned. Good job all round and for all the right reasons. Give yourselves a pat on the back guys and gals. Now soon off to do site inspections in a yellow baseball cap with my folding saw , secateurs and first aid pack!!

  4. Merry Christmas to you all and to all tree climbers a Happy and Safe New Year.

To Steve ..... thank you my friend for all your efforts and hard work.It is an Honour to call you my mate.

    God bless you all.

  5. Jonesie you cant expect an aged consultant to waste time reading such trivia, despite the fact that it is the season to be jolly - Bah humbug !!! Please do not take up my time and then blame your wife for writing the card. Now I have to go, serious work to do - have some more Smarties to arrange around the gables.

  6. That's cool, he must have some good memories of the big Elms.

I used to work 1968/1970 with the Brighton Parks tree gang and helped to start the protection of the Brighton Elms from DED. Great memories!!!!

Now these trees are recognised worldwide as a living museum of elms.

I was then on the 1st one year Arb course at Merrist Wood,(1970-71) where Peter was the Course Director. Again brilliant memories. This was before he wrote the book and Le Suer was then a 'bible' of arb practice!!!!!

    cheers steve

Thanks Steve for bringing this to the attention of our forum members. ISA is trying very hard to provide information and assistance to all members of our profession and its UK & I Chapter really needs your support, having gone through a tricky and damaging period.

    Climb safely

  8. I am stunned by yet again such sad news. As ever my thoughts and condolences are with and go to the family and friends. Guys and gals please stay alert, climb safely and do not take risky 'shortcuts'. Life is just too valuable.

  9. Hello Mr Bashford.

Who & where's the lucky lecture crowd.

Really good to see a continued presence by the Consultant members of our industry at the shows and here on the forum.

    Keep up the good work.

Personaly feel that's the attitude that helps glue us all together.

Btw........ would you have any objection (copyright)

if I colour-copied your fine A4 fungi handout, so I can reduce in size for a better fit in my rucksack?

This continues to be a very helpful aid :thumbup1:

hey less of the Mr Bashford!! Presenting to Canadian Urban Forestry Conference in Strathcona County, Edmonton.

Of course feel free to copy the Fungi handout. Hope it helps.

  10. Next to a woodland path that gets low vehicle usage, but compaction definately an issue.

I would have said from first photograph that adjacent likely compacted path was a major concern causing a stress reaction ....... hence bleeding!
