  1. Thats the only feature I miss about my first chippr. A little 6" bearcat. Awesome for moving brush out of back yards through gates and such
  2. What Pete said. I used to use 3 wraps and 2 braids, then I switched cords (now on beeline) and that combo didn't work very well for me anymore. With beeline and yale fire rope combo I use 4 wraps and 3 braids. It varies with every persons size and rope/ hitch cord combo.
  3. I've certianly learned to appreciate the kit I have lately. I started out with a 1978 Cherolet pick up, some old rock climbing gear, a silky and $300. Now days I have a 12" chipper with a 100hp cummins engine, a 3 Tonne dump and all the climbing gear and saws a guy could need. The clutch went and bell housing cracked on our dump and I ended up with nothing to chip into for a week. Well I thought, I used to haul brush in the back of my pick up and survived. Talk about apreciation for the things you have week. Went from one load of chips every 2-3 days to 5 loads of brush every day, not to mention the time spent going to dump each of those loads. I'll take my chipper and dump any day of the week.
  4. Hey guys, 1st post over here. I install 1 or 2 a month. I think I'll start pushing more as its a great money maker and I really enjoy doing it.
