  1. We try do do a couple a month , after much practice and trials we found youd be pretty stuffed if you cut yourself .Pre installed rescue lines speed it all up on large trees ..hope i never have to use it

  2. Not only is he struck by an albeit small widow maker but he doesnt make an escape....its like he's hypnotised by the falling stick. Its an interesting vid. .

My old man was felling with a guy that got hit by a ash limb ,said he squeeled like a pig .He had a brain hemorage and died 2 months later.. take care out there..

  3. The more training units you give someone the greater the false sense of security you give them that they are suited to the occupation. Despite all the training newcommers to the work get injured as they find more elaborate ways to cause themselves harm. This is a dangerous occupation. If you cant accept that some risk is involved however minimised it is nowadays get out.

Personally I think I will give up tree work to go Alaskan King Crab fishing as all the thrills and spills of this job are in decline these days.:hmmmm:

Yea all the gear and no idea .

I was just looking for a course to do this year.lol

  4. Trees and people thats the problem..tree are messy it's people trying to tidy everything that causes trouble..and as professionals we are supposed to like trees ,inflicting large amounts of wounds would leave any tree exposed to infection especially sizeable ones..

  5. sorry....but in my experience you cant trust anyone with an addiction/habit. they will be looking at ways to get their fix, and i dont just mean drugs, simple things like smoking regular ciggies in work trucks after being told no are a regular occurance.

I agree ,if you cant leave it at home then you have a problem and way to much time on your hands ...I did the smoking thing and enjoyed it ,but when you have to smoke all day it aint fun
