I'm 40 and I have been climbing for ten years. I started my own business two years ago. I am the lead climber and do the hard stuff while my under studies do the easy trees. I still want to be climbing when I am 50 but I want switch trees with my newbies and let them do hard stuff. I am a tad overweight from not climbing as much this winter, if I stopped altogether I'd turn into a blimp. I think I have to keep climbing until I stop.
Funny picture of Pete. What the heck did you do to him Ed?

I don't know if it is a by product of all my years around chainsaws but I can't handle loud live music anymore. I make a point of bringing my earplugs to concerts these days. I would make an exception for Led Zep though.

Weird, they all disappeared.

Can you say "World Tour?" They'd surely come to Boise, Idaho. Don't you think?

I think I must be in a mellow groove tonight.

I have heard good stuff about Ryan Adams but have never listened to him. They have been playing this song on the radio and I can't get it out of my head.

I love finding good live versions of songs I enjoy. Here's the original and a live solo performance of Everlong by the Foo Fighters.

Well shoot, that didn't work. Let me try this.

We have no core industry, exports or manufacturing in the UK. Most of our GDP is earned by the 2 square miles that is the city of London, the financial markets. We insure half the world now. And not much of that cash filters down....
Are you forgetting:

We didn't force them to invest in our bad loans. They did it because it was a great way to make a buck during our housing boom.
Ghandi hey? I am sticking with my buddy Tito. His pict suits me somehow.

Cute little girl Steve.
I am glad you enjoyed playing with our thunder sticks.

If they are bent length wise you can usually get them straight again. If they are cupped width wise it isn't worth trying. When I get enough I'll make a chainsaw bar adirondack chair.

Merry Christmas Brits!
Anyone thinking of becoming a Catholic in the new year? I hear it is all the rage.

If a saw stalls when you are tipping it on its side it usually has a hole in its fuel line in the tank.

From left to right, Me, BoDean's buddy Javier, a worthless white kid named Tim, Juan Two(He took his brother Juan's spot when he returned to Mexico), Gustavo and Ulises. Ulises was my right hand man. He was great at running the ropes and could fix anything.

I didn't see Led Zeppelin, but I did see UB40 at Wembly Arena on Friday night! they packed the place to the rafters what a night..
Since no one seems to have seen the Led Zeppelin concert, I'll bite. How was the UB40 concert? Its funny all the old nostalgia concert tours roaming around, especially since IB40 now.

Did any of you get to see the show? I would have given my left nut to see that gig.

I've heard names for it but I have forgotten them. It doesn't at all unless you adjust it. It looks flimsy but it is a rather stout and reliable way to run your flip line. It works best with the old style large D rings and a wire core flip line. I only gave up using it because the newer saddles had small D rings.

Every time that picture that picture gets posted this comes up. Its what I was taught and what everyone did at one time. It worked well. You could loosen it up under weight. Shortening up was more of a pain. It was a lot easier to use double flip lines doing it that way too. I have a micro ascender tending my flip line now but would still use that old way without any concern. Its tricky to set that up if you haven't done it in a while though. You'll notice it isn't a knot.

I want that. Too bad I am on the wrong side of the pond. I think the shipping would kill me.
