  1. that sounds a lot better than "whinging POME c&nts!"
  2. Jeez carl, don't go and be all honest, sugar coat it like the rest of us and just say you jack knifed a chipper or dented a gutter.
  3. Is Trev flying the bucket? He didn't strike me as a bucket guy but climbing can get old. Oh, but so can those Huntsmans
  4. I FL with my fly, blaze or PI. Our standard German protocol was a line for entry, a line for work. Beddes and a few of his coworkers has dyneema static lines for entry that cost almost $400US. I would cry like a beeotch if I cut it. Plus, I am just a hobby guy skimmin the cream nowadays.
  5. You'll never know. I have drove off with the saws on the tailgate of the chipper. Oh, and the call after finishing a job, "My trees look great but can you come get the polesaw that is 30ft up?"
  6. Always good to leave what you can. In Germany, it was called a spektbaum or woodpecker tree. I called it not having to chunk down a trunk. The crew called it not having to hump big wood out whatever that means, I don't understand Irish.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
