  1. It's really all down to good practice when working and maintaining your gear, isn't it. TBF, I think they must have finished late and not checked everything up properly. Prefer the Huskys too. Fave is my 357, which is known as the Heinz 3-57 because it was put together from the remnants of around a dozen others!!
  2. Torque wrench?? when your knuckles turn white, it's tight enough Lol...
  3. If anyone is looking for new genuine Walbro, Zama or Tilli carbs - try Rowena Motors www.rowenacarbs.co.uk They also stock a lot of spare parts for carbs too. Have been using them for a few years now and they're really knowledgeable and helpful.
  4. There's still a lot of aftermarket parts for the 036 as was a very popular saw and as already mentioned, a lot of the MS360 parts will fit too. Also, the 'little brother' 034 has a lot of similar parts as well. BTW, just stumbled on a German company called Sägenspezi. They seem to specialise in Stilhl and have a large stock of parts for the older saws. Hope this helps and good luck!
  5. Agree it's a really neat idea. Will just add that a friend had a crank snap at that point on 2 ocassions, where the chain hadn't been slackened off enough after use and had tightened up too much when contracting as it cooled down... just saying!

    020T av mounts?

Is this any help? https://shop.saegenspezi.de/annular-buffer-for-handlebar-left-bottom-fits-Stihl-020AV The company is based in Germany and offer what looks like a lot of parts for Stihl - both recent and the older saws. Haven't had any dealings with them, but they appear reputable. Re replacing other AV mounts, it's generally a good idea to replace all, so they're working equally together. Saegan don't list the other 2 mounts for the top handle, but you may have more luck with US saw spares sites - they generally like to keep the old saws going longer! Atb
