Along with clogs, coracles, charcoal, oak swill baskets, hazel hurdles & many more
Sussex Pimps will be coming to APF 2024 taking place on the 19/20/21st September at Ragley Estate, Alcester, Warwickshire.
Sussex Pimps are just one of the huge range of traditional woodland crafts being demonstrated at APF 2024, the UK’s largest and most exciting woodland, forestry, trees and timber show. The woodland crafts area at the event has the most comprehensive range of woodland crafts you will see anywhere in the country. Over thirty craftspeople will be demonstrating rarely seen skills such as clog making, coracles, charcoal burning, wheelwrighting, tent peg making, hazel whisket baskets, oak swill baskets, willow baskets, hazel hurdles, chair making, cane & rush seating, dugout canoes, rake making, willow weaving, pole lathe turning and many more. The craftspeople will be delighted to explain more about their crafts and many will be happy to let visitors have-a-go.
Visitors will be able to watch the British Horse loggers and their majestic timber horses in action and get a chance to try their hand at holding their reins.
In addition to the 300 exhibitors there are many other exciting activities that visitors can see and do including axe throwing, tree climbing, chainsaw simulator, lumberjacks, chainsaw carvers, fencing, forwarder driving, harvester simulator and poleclimbers. If you want to know what a Sussex Pimp is come along and see for yourself!
Advance tickets are £22.50, £25 on the gate and children under 16 get in free. Contact APF Exhibition Email: [email protected]. Tel: 01428 723545 Website www.apfexhibition.co.uk
