Hi Guys,

I will be takling 4 large Leylandi in my garden sometime soon, they stand about 25-30ft to give you an idea........what would be the least amount of power required on a chipper to cope with these please?

What diameter sections of timber you looking at chipping? Or are you going to cut and keep anything over 4" and chip everything else?

Yes, just for a day hopefully...

You may be better off seeing if anyone around by you hires a chipper and truck and can get rid of chip all at same time. Cost wise it cost less. Small chipper hire for 3" for the day around £80 plus delivery and pick up plus fuel adds up to around £130. Someone to chip it for you and take away depending on we're you are and how busy they are around £180 to £250.

OK 5....will look into costs to hire and location to collect/cost of delivery and weigh it up, appreciated. (probably have use for chippings).
