Read about this product, seems a good product, but risks are there of soil compaction,during/ after laying, and can decompaction be economicaly done if problems arise? nice work there,looks good.

 

Thats the big question, dont think its been on the market long enough to tell/show results. Decompaction after the event would be very tricky. The only machinery used during installation was a tracked mini digger to scrape away the surface the rest was done by hand. Expensive drive but we were pleased with the results and the LPA were happy

The main reason for using it, is that is meant to prevent compaction caused by traffic, because it acts as a load-bearing structure and spreads the weight of the vehicle over a wide area, rather than allowing it to be concentrated beneath the wheels.

 

You can get it in different thicknesses, depending on what traffic it's intended for.

 

So provided the ground is not compacted to begin with or during construction, everything should be fine.
