ok first of all I need a I.D as I got into this industry off my own back and my tree I.D is just not that good, no cones unfortunately to help and a dodgy google maps photo

 

the tree owners would like the tree to go to some use other than just firewood

so I was wondering if anyone in the south manchester area is interested in taking the stick away ?

they don't want anything for it ......well it's not walnut just so it goes to a good home and of cause doesn't cost them ! otherwise I think it might go to firewood !

It's a Fireus woodius or possibly a rather sickly western hemlock.

Mill it up and make it into some garden furniture.

 

There's enough in that to make a bench, chair and table, then sell it back to them.

 

Ok, it's not super-durable teak, but it should last 10 years or so if it has a cover over it during the winter.
