Who 'deemed dangerous' those solid assets?

And where would the money for those big removals be coming from?

Often when a government has money left in its budget, a quick and easy(or so they thought) cause is found, and a wild opinion is solicited to support it.

Perhaps opinions from stakeholders like motorists and ecologists and taxpayer groups could also be solicited.

Well you never get the full story, less so when it's coming from the press, but it seems that the councillors are seeking to carry out wholly unnecessary works here. It would be interesting to get a bit more detail, i half hoped someone here might be able to fill in the blanks...

An interesting feature of this story is that the locals are seeking to hold the elected officials to account; just imagine it, a representative democracy!
