A friend has ask me about these lime trees. He is a veteran nurseryman so I safely assume we rule out the obvious such as graft and rootstock differences.

 

These limes have a large patch of different size leaves. I thought it would be of interest to the biology gang.

I suggested windward Side before I saw photos. It's on multiple trees. Acer drumondii is a pain to keep varigated. Here is a younger tree on same site
