Will let you gents know tomorrow evening. I pulled one of the jets that was under the gauze, which was under the needle valve and float. Perfectly clean, there is some other kind of brass thing in the middle shaped like flower if that makes sense, I'll try and get that out.

As for the throttle slide, it is a plastic barrel with a needle which slides inside a plastic tube in carb. As for the adjustment of the needle, I can't see anything, only thing that is on the top of the carb is the clamp which holds the throttle cable, when the choke is engaged it does lift the throttle barrel a few mm which then drops when choke released. Idle adjustment rotates the barrel to reveal / hide the hole in the throttle barrel.

Hope that makes sense

Do NOT take out the flower shaped thing. Its a non return valve and is not repairable or replaceable. In fact don't take any jets out of that bit.

Post a pic of the top of the carb body. The one I posted is a genuine walbro, the one you have looks like a chinese copy and may be non adjustable.

I guess this is on a recent Homelite blower and if so its a cheap chinese product sold by B&Q.

Don't spend too much money on it.

If there is an adjustment, it will be a small brass screw recessed in the middle of that brass part on the metal plate plastic part the yellow throttle part pushes on .....top pics on your post.

It basically lifts and lowers the needle valve - the higher it is, the richer the mix, the lower....leans it off!

Did just this on a Husqvarna carb today......Gardenkit has done many more of these carbs than me so am sure he will pass comment on the exact carb type - Walbro is good, no Chinese copy:thumbup:

Unfortunately it looks like plastic in there! No head just a blank 👎

Quite often, this is just a plug to stop dirt getting in to the adjustment and can be removed with a small wood screw. Worth getting a second opinion from GK and see if he has done one of these before.

I have done hundreds of walbro's but cannot recall one with the metal throttle arm. I guess they will be the same as the others though and if they are indeed adjustable the needle with the slot in it will be under the plastic plug. As my learned colleague Spud says, pull the plug out with a very small self tapper.

I do this a lot so rather than fiddling with a screw and a pair of pliers I welded a screw to an old screwdriver.
