Was having a play with a no slack system at the weekend, and was wondering if it or something similar can be used climbing in general (Instead of just going up like what;s in the guide to the canopy)

Hope that makes sense??

Yeah bro, its pretty much all i climb on now. As long as your not resetting ya anchor often its a brill system-use it branch walks, ascending etc... If your using the o rig id recommend swapping the ropeman for a 30cm sling. But the uni is a whole different game but can still be setup slackless.........

Yeah bro thats the one just switch the ropeman for a small webbing sling set as a prussic and conect it to the hitch climbers middle hole.. As Drew has said there is real potential for the ropeman to move to far away and you will not be able to retrieve it...

I Might just add that we have been told we cant use a revover as a single link to our climbing systemns as there is to much bend ratio applied to the rope around the small pulley.. Iam not sure what tests have been done on the bend ratio put on ropes when run threw the revolver so stand to be corrected Drew may know more....

as jono said.............but i reckon it should be sweet. I cant see how putting it through a ring is any better (bridge ring) or through a swivel. any other opinions?

some people reckon the bend ratio is too acute and therefore can weaken the rope. Compared to the pin inside the cocoon though, the bend ratio is nothing. You could use 2 revolvers opposite each other or a standard crab and pulley.

What are they designed for originally? If you cant use them like that doesnt it make them pretty much useless?
