Adjustments to the carb on 435 xt

Anybody know how to adjust the carb on a 435xt , good little saw for keeping by the chipper.keeps on bogging down on full throttle ???

Assuming it's the same as my 450xt then you need the special spline tool to make any adjustments

I can't remember if mine was the multi spline or 7-toothed version.

 

Loads available on the bay etc once you've decided which yours is. I bought a set a few years ago, you'll always need the one you've not got. Just google "Carb adjuster tool".

 

Tacho is pretty essential to do a decent job, or get it running then take it to someone who has one to get it running to spec.

Mine came with the saw and looks like the 21 splined version but with a few gaps in the splines. It might be the screws have solid areas that fit in the tool's gaps. Another anti tamper system perhaps?

The dealer set my saw up before I bought it and I've never had to touch it so far so I couldn't tell you if the cutouts are needed.

It might pay you to have a look at your screws before you buy a tool to be safe.
