..so how would I unstuck it? :confused1:[/

I would take it to bits and rebuild it. But there is probably an easier way😁

Agreed. Kick it to death and buy a Makita.

I'm not defending Stihl anymore on here...(see my MS391 thread).

Makita all the way! :001_smile:

Expose and remove clutch shoes, there are bushes that the clutch shoes pivot on, knock these out and clean with wet and dry paper or a flat file. Clean the holes the bushes fit in with a large chainsaw file, lubricate with spray and refit. Make sure shoes pivot freely on bushes

Fs 90 and 4 mixes normally are set up to run lean compared to normal 2 strokes as they use the fuel to lubricate the bottom end.

Check valve clearance its critical, also check for pinprick holes in valve cover and gasket condition

Which makes and models have the best carbs and most reliable engines GardenKit?

My low hours Stihl is playing up after a winter lay off (no drive to shaft)

My Kawasaki (Kaaz Danarm VF500) seems ok despite the bloody Portek Rebel head being stuck on (can't replace line, can't get the bugger off!!)

I'm now going for the Makita 43cc MM4 model.

To be honest I have sold only Tanaka for the last 27 years a day I would not want to sell anything else. Tanka has been fantastic.
