Anybody running a 372 with a Zama/c3m carb?

Have a 365 that I want to put a big pot on (pot is knackered and open port).

Last time I did this I managed to get an HD12, but this time I don't have one.

C3m able to supply enough flow for a 372 or even 52mm pot?

Cheers

It will work but just not as well. I wouldn't try modding it with this carb. Last time I tried one of these carbs on a 372 I had issues and refitted the Walbro one but never found out if the carb was the route cause.

Try it, tune rich and check the plug colour.

The Zama carb of the 365 has a smaller venturi than the HD-12 (17mm vs 17.46 nominally), while you really would want a larger one.

The 19mm+ RWJ-4 of the XT versions is an obvious candidate, but from what I recall you will need a few 385/390 parts to make it fit (at least the intake to the cylinder).

Tested zama to compare to the bigger walbro on a ported oem 74.66cc top. No difference in cut times to worry about.

Some folks get all crazy with the bigger better theory. But it is just a chainsaw and it is cutting wood. It's a WORK saw not a race saw where it would matter. ;)

Use what you got IMO
