Hi, who's splicing Kernmaster with ease? Ive spliced it before and its hard,very hard! Another two attempts at splicing up a length for my lanyard and both failed miserably! Using the New England guide and even taken more strands from the cover and the core but both attempts I can't force home. Any ideas please? I must add its not new rope as well!

You have to really taper the core prior to burying it to stand a chance. A mallet helps as well!!

Yep tapered the core and the cover, core almost falling apart. Mallet was working overtime as well!

Agreed. I've got 10mm Armor prus as mine

Yeah, don't bother. 10mm lanyards are the way forward. I've got 10mm OP and 10mm Sirius as 4m lanyards. Work a treat.

 

 

My lanyard is really a second rope, it's around 10m long!
