Hi, who's splicing Kernmaster with ease? Ive spliced it before and its hard,very hard! Another two attempts at splicing up a length for my lanyard and both failed miserably! Using the New England guide and even taken more strands from the cover and the core but both attempts I can't force home. Any ideas please? I must add its not new rope as well!:blushing:

You have to really taper the core prior to burying it to stand a chance. A mallet helps as well!!

Yep tapered the core and the cover, core almost falling apart. Mallet was working overtime as well!:blushing::scared1:

Yeah, don't bother. 10mm lanyards are the way forward. I've got 10mm OP and 10mm Sirius as 4m lanyards. Work a treat.

 

 

My lanyard is really a second rope, it's around 10m long!
