Hi everyone,

I am setting up a smokehouse in middlesbrough and I am at an advanced stage of setting up. I am looking for someone who can regularly supply cherry wood (ideal)or any other form of sweet fruity smoke wood (apple or alder). I forecast to use around 1 cubic metre or 1 dumpy bag per week to start off with.

I prefer the wood to come from the same grounds/orchard to maintain consistency. this is a longterm project and I need a supplier that I can rely on. The fruit wood needs to be 1 species specific. i,e. Also the preference is the wood to be from a sustainable source and from the UK.

The only species specific woods I could get my hands on regularly was birch which imparts a bacon taste to the chicken and not liked bu customers during our recent survey. Problem is the birch is again from latvia and not the UK.

email me on [email protected] and thanks in advance
