mini winching

Recommended Posts

One of this week's jobs, over 70 dead elms to fell and extract. Not exactly roadside so stuck the winch on the back of the truck (winch plate clips on to any towbar) and off we go!

Winch is 3T max pull and usually sits on the front towbar on the pickup.

Mounting plate from here - Bak Rak - Large Towbar Mount - and the winch from the same people too, they don't do this model anymore.

On the front of the pickup the leads go through the grill directly on to the battery, but on the back end I extend them with jump leads.

It then gets unclipped before travelling on the road so you don't get nicked for obscuring your number plate.

Don't forget to take it off before tipping...:blushing:
