Psyllids

Bit of a hit and hope but I have a large Pepper tree (Schinus molle) which is infested with Psyllids. At the moment it's a case of spray with a shield type spray, await the recovery of the tree then await the return of the little suckers about a month later and repeat. The tree has great sentimental value to the home owners but I would like to decrease the frequency of the spraying and therefor, the associated costs. Any suggestions?

Hey Taupotreeman. Are you still in N.Z? If so, chemjet stem injection is cheap and lasts approx 3 years and is not needed in conjunction with a spray. Imidacloprid is the active ingredient you need in the insecticide. Also works on borer (if they bore the cambium) and scale.

Chemicals purchased from Bayer. I think it was called Merit? But don't hold me to that.
