Both of these have now arrived and I've had a quick scan through. Good books.

My interest is piqued, so I've ordered Dutch-Elm-Disease-Research-Approaches

Funnily enough I ordered a copy of this myself a couple of weeks back. Still waiting for it to arrive (from the US) - we'll have to compare notes :001_smile:

On the technical side, another good one is [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Elms-Breeding-Conservation-Management/dp/0792377249]The Elms: Breeding, Conservation, and Disease Management: Amazon.co.uk: Christopher P. Dunn, C. P. Dunn: 9780792377245: Books@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51dk2suMYqL.@@AMEPARAM@@51dk2suMYqL[/ame]

If you keep an eye on it this sometimes turns up remaindered at a very reasonable price.

For info, the European elm conference will be in Kent this year on the 9th or 10th of June. I don't have any further details at present.

There are many new research articles out on DED breeding, and as you're probably aware Gary I did a post on it here: https://arboriculture.wordpress.com/2016/03/10/breeding-for-dutch-elm-disease-ded-resistance/

Those books looks good - added to my list of stuff to buy when I have some funds spare. Blew my budget on a damn ring this month!

:blushing::blushing: I haven't read that yet. I save these up for treatment sessions for some 'me time', reading all your post since the last time.

I used to read them as posted but found that I was getting rushed simply to read them and then didn't have time to follow up and read the references etc.

I assume that congrats are in order? And commiserations for your book budget:biggrin:

Nah that's cool - the post isn't going anywhere! :001_tongue:

Yeah after four and a half years I thought it'd be unfair to drag it out any longer, so I am now set to spend the rest of my life with Modern Arboriculture. :laugh1::laugh1:
