My home insurance is due for renewal very shortly and after reading the thread "Insurance... A word of warning", i thought that i would take a closer look at the small print, especially as i noticed that Post Office is underwritten by AXA who were mentioned in that thread.

 

There's a few errors such as occupation on the policy so i know that i'll have to contact them for a re quote but the most worrying find is that it states the home is not used for trade/professional purposes which mine is.

 

So i'd be interested to hear of any companies that should be avoided and what people pay for cover including declaring business use.

 

My cover was £400k/£50k buildings, content.
