Looks pretty firmly saproxolylic.

 

Unless it's just finished eating the whole heart of the tree. Burp!

 

Maybe Tremella mesenterica? Lovely colour.

 

 

 

Wasn't particularly clear in my first post.

 

What David has found is a forming Laetiporus, but I went on to ask if there was evidence of any other fungi on the Tree.

I wondered if there was any Fistulina hepatica in evidence, as the two quite often co-exist. :drool:

No Fistulina was not on that tree. I have got Fistulina coming but there is alot of Laetiporus which is not really the time of year. Well not so common this end of the year.
